Snowdonia is a region in Wales, and has the highest mountains in England and Wales. In this work, Jones brings a critical study of archaeology and history into the discussion of the mountains. Written by Harry Longueville Jones, a Welsh archaeologist and artist. He was also an Inspector of School for Wales, and a founding member of the Cambrian Archaeological Association. This work was published the year after Jones graduated. Sketched by H. D. Jones, drawn on stone by J. D. Harding. Harding was a landscape painter, who is known for using tinted papers and opaque paints in watercolour, an influential method. In a quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards.
