Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. No Jacket. "This 9.0 x 12.0 inch, 204 page softcover book is the 1951 first edition of this title with the title page stating such and then below the title there is the indication "third printing." This copy is in near fine condition. The booklet was issued with olive-green paper wrappers and this copy shows just a touch of wear on the edges and at the wrapper fold at the spine but beyond that the decorative wrappers with multiple colors in printing and imagery is in fine condition. The interior text is also in at least near fine condition with no real condition issues to mention. The pages are unmarked and undamaged and the corners still sharp. The text features a separate story on every page, with accompanying hand-drawn illustrations. Each story gives a brief account of some aspect, event or personality from the early years of Nevada. There are stories of native peoples, their myths and tales, and then early exploration by "the White Dragon" - - the coming white-topped wagon trains of the Americans, and certainly the stories of prospecting and fabulous "striking it rich" accounts are well covered. 204 pages.".
