Each hardcover, H 24.25cm x L 16cm, uniformly bound in muted blue cloth with vibrant red and gilt stamping to spines and blue top edges. Slight bumping at spine heels; light rubbing to boards. Interior pages of both volumes are bright and clean; bindings retain some crispness. Special Acknowledgement by MDAH Director Charlotte Capers in each volume. Silver) on front right endpaper in vol.2, both volumes have some light unobstrusive soiling, which blends into the covers & mostly seen if books are tunred at an angle, contents are clean, bright & tight with b/w illus., both DJs are clean & brigh t& have b/w illus. of battle scenes with very light wear to some of the extremities, Grey box has title etc in red & white on front, back & spine, seam at bottom right side is open but still holding at top & back side, top & bottom at back of box has been taped with clear tape, corners & extremities bumped & worn, just good conditon, INCLUDED in vol. 2 is a handwritten envelope by the author (James W.Silver) with a postal date of Dec. 26, 1980, enclosed unfortunately is a partial letter with only the author's address, one line sentence explaining the considerable delay in corresponding back as he had moved twice, plus has the signature of author (James W.Silver), Still an overall Nice Set.
