Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Aylette Jenness / George Roth (illustrator). 1st Edition. Novel for children about a family with an anthropologist father living for a year with Eskimos in an Alaskan village on the Bering seacoast. Spookily enough the author, Aylette Jenness, was married to an anthropologist who took his wife and children to live for a year with Eskimos in an Alaskan village on the Bering seacoast. "Gussuk" seems to be the Eskimo equivalent of "gentile" - referring to non-Eskimo people and things. The author provides full page drawings. There's an inscription on front blank, and a bookseller's label on front pastedown, but a near fine copy in very good, slightly discolored and grubby dust jacket (artwork by George Roth) with a little wear to edges and folds. JS.
