Buch Erstausgabe Signiert
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. SIGNED by the author on the title page, without dedication. It also has a former owner's dedication, on the half title page, and the fact that it is very neatly written does not compensate for it being clearly a FAULT. Otherwise this is as you might expect from a book that has been around since 1964; it has been read, but there are no other abuse signs. At least it hasn't been stuck in a library, or left out on a beach. It's got the great man's signature, and the jacket has the four corners angle cut, as is required. The price is there, 18s, which in new money is less than £1! Super Raymond Hawkey jacket, photographed and designed by him, and with the stamp on the back 'DOWNGRADED TO UNCLASSIFIED'. A super collectable copy of a book increasingly hard to find with the author's signature. The cloth cover is firm despite the slight 'lean' and the cover board has the rubber stamp design and the blind indented DOWNGRADED TO UNCLASSIFIED is crisp and clear. Deighton is in a class of his own, and I can't imagine him ever being downgraded. Signed by Author.
