Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. BOOK DESCRIPTION: 8vo, 68 pgs; Privately printed; printed boards with dark cloth spine. Signed by author on page opposite title page and numbered 277. CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Light rubbing to edges and spine ends; interior is clean and tight. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Privately printed in a small edition for family and friends. Clara Lenroot grew up in remote Wisconsin during the Civil War. Her father later moved to Osceola Mills on the St. Croix River where he became a circuit judge. The family moved to Superior, Wisconsin in 1868. This charming reminiscence about life in small town Wisconsin after the Civil War is a real piece of Americana.
