Big game hunting in India, Iraq and on the borders of Afghanistan before the war, the author unfortunately does not date his excursions. Also a brief, interesting chapter on Ladakh. There are also several illustrations of Ladakh by Colonel G.E.C. Gregory and Colonel C.C. Day - undoubtedly also officers who used their generous leave to go hunting in Ladakh.
