Each issue contains 16 pages of useful information, and from 5 to 10 original engravings of new inventions and discoveries, with Patent Claims and Notes & Queries. (One interesting patent noted on page 356 is that of president-elect Abrabam Lincoln*s Apparatus for Buoying Vessels, illustrated.) Great piece of American science history, clean and tight. 10 x 13-1/2, 414 pp, indexes (of Illustrations, Miscellany, & Patent Claims), b/s illustrations throughout.
