Published by Philip Allan in 1934, here is the first hardback printing of C.Ernest Pain's FIFTY YEARS ON THE TEST. 198 pages, black photographs/ illustrations, , green cloth binding, gilt lettering, the book is in fair (a little below average) condition with some general staining and rubbing to the spine and edges of the boards plus some light spotting to the end papers and at instances throughout the book, plus the name of a previous owner stamped in blue ink to the front free end paper. There is also a small tear at the top of the front pastedown. All in all a reasonable copy of a moderately scarce book.
