Leichter Wasserrand, Vorsätze stockfleckig, sonst gut erhalten. Sehr seltene Schrift des freiheitlich gesinnten Schriftstellers, Politikers und Buchhändler Eduard Pelz, derselbst in Petersburg einen Verlag und eine Buchhandlung eröffnete, aber unter dem Widerstand der russischen Käufer und der russischen Konkurrenz litt, die er in den ersten Bänden beschreibt. In diesem seltenen vierten Band, der Fortsetzung beschreibt er den Kaiser, bzw. Zare, die Osterzeit in St. Petersburg, die Herbstpromenade daselbst, die Newaweihe, eine Fahrt nach Kronstadt und Oranienbaum, Strelna, Klima und Gesundheit sowie den Brand von Moskau im Jahre 1812. Die Bücher Pelz fielen der russischen Zensur ddruch den Kultusminister Uwaroff/Uvarov zum Opfer, daher sind sie von extremer Seltenheit. Pelz schreibt, "Ein russisches Bücherverbot ist selbst in Russland, unter der gebildeten Welt, eine Empfehlung und dient zur Verbreitung mehr, als selbst die günstigsten oder auch die ungünstigsten Kriterien." Pelz verliess nach drei Jahren Russland und widmete sich der deutschen Revolution. Peter Jahn: Erfahrung, Ideologie und Vorurteil. Fröbel Mitarbeiter an der Mannheimer Volkszeitung, später Mitglied des Frankfurter Vorparlament und Gründer des Frankfurter Arbeitervereins, was zu seiner Ausweisung (nach Amerika) führte.
