(Hardcover, 2010). 2010 1st edition. Small 4to (178 x 252mm). Pp384. Colour and b/w photographs and illustrations. Maroon boards, spine titled in gilt. Edition limited to 700 numbered copies. Very good copy in dust-wrapper (inside of dust-wrapper slightly stained). Signed by Steve Plumb, Stewart Allum, Paul Sykes and Fred Sykes. Numbered copy from an edition limited to 700 copies. An excellent book on chub and chub fishing compiled of articles by a great many Chub Study Group members past and present. Limited to only 700 copies, the book sold out fast and has already become quite a collector's item. "The Chub Study Group was initially named the 'National Chub Specimen Group' in the sixties with origins in the East Midlands. The Group was reformed and renamed in 1972 by founder Tony Carter. Famous former presidents of the Group were initially, Dick Walker and then Peter Stone. The third president, Charles Landells, was a member of the original National Chub Specimen Group. The CSG is still the only specialist chub angling group in the UK. There are regular well-attended get-togethers on the rivers around the UK. Members record and report details of all chub captures over 4lb. At the end of 2009 the CSG has a unique record of the details of over 15,000 chub. Their experiences, articles, records and views are all recorded in the Group's magazine called 'Chevin'. In 1994 the Group's first book 'Chub' was compiled by the Group's Vice-president Graham Cornish. This included many of the best articles written by the CSG members. Sixteen years later, in 2010, it is time for the CSG to compile its second book." .
