Legatura coeva in mezza-pelle con la definizione di miscellanea e ricchi fregi in oro al dorso. Piatti foderati con carta marmorizzata coeva. Tagli spruzzati di rosso. La prima opera è una versione pirata, edita probabilmente nello stesso anno della prima di un noto scritto di Vincenzo Monti. La seconda opera è la prima edizione fiorentina, contemporanea alle tre edizioni milanesi, di uno dei noti componimenti di Vincenzo Monti. La terza opera, stampata a Rimini da Giacomo Marsoner,l contiene la biografia del noto poeta e letterato riminese, noto per il suo viaggio sul Reno che descrisse in un noto volume. L'ultima opera è la più importante fra quelle inserite nella miscellanea che raccoglie le ecloghe ed i componimenti del celeberrimo poeta, scrittore e commediografo fiorentino, Anton Francesco Grazzini detto il Lasca (Firenze, 22 marzo 1505 Firenze, 18 febbraio 1584) fra i massimi esponenti della poesia boccaccesca e bernesca e fra i massimi difensori della poesia giocosa e popolare fiorentina. L'opera porta al frontespizio la data del 1799 ma la dedicatoria ai nobili lucchesi Giacomo e Cesare Lucchesini porta la data 1816. Questa discrepanza deriva dal fatto che Domenico Poggiali, figlio del defunto Gaetano, decise di pubblicare l'opera che il padre aveva finito più di quindici anni prima, nel 1816 quando a Domenico si presentò la possibilità di editare l'opera. Questa edizione è di notevole importanza in quando Gaetano Poggiali portò avanti per diversi anni ricerche d'archivio in vari importanti biblioteche pubbliche e private arrivando ad identificare alcuni componimenti mai editi prima in un codice originale Palatino della Magliabechiana oltre che da vari codici autografi resi disponibili da Domenico Moreni. L'opera è quindi in parte una prima edizione. Rif. Antichi pecetta e timbretto di proprietà privata al frontespizio che attestano l'appartenenza del volume prima, all'avvocato Domenico Magiera e poi all'avvocato Alfonso Magiera, ambedue appartenente all'antica famiglia ebrea di origini polacche dei Magiera. Dedicatoria "Agl'Illustrissimi Signori I Signori Conservatori Correggio scritta dal mirandolese, Pompilio Pozzetti (Mirandola 16 gennaio 1760 - Bologna 17 aprile 1815). L'autore, allievo di Giulio Bulgarelli, si formò inizialmente presso i gesuiti prima e alla soppressione dell'ordine, presso le Scuole Pie. Studiò filosofia e matematica a Firenze. Nel 1778 fu trasferita a Cortona come pubblico maestro d'umanità. Tornato a Firenze fu poi bandito dal granduca Leopoldo I, probabilmente a causa di alcune maldicenze, tanto che dopo alcuni anno, riconosciuta la sua innocenza, fu lo stesso granduca a richiamarlo. Nel 1789 fu chiamato dal duca Ercole III d'Este per dirigere il Collegio di Correggio. " professore onorario dell'Università (20 aprile 1793) quindi bibliotecario dell'Ateneo (9 luglio 1793) e professore straordinario di storia (20 novembre 1794). Il 6 giugno 1794, alla morte dell'erudito Girolamo Tiraboschi, fu chiamato alla guida della Biblioteca Estense, che diresse in solido con l'abate Carlo Ciocchi, secondo bibliotecario con il quale non corse mai buon sangue; a loro si affiancò, in qualità di terzo bibliotecario, Antonio Lombardi che nel 1807 prese il posto dello stesso Pozzetti [ ] Nel 1803 rifiutò la proposta di una cattedra all'Università di Vilnius, di cui fu nominato professore onorario pur non svolgendovi alcun insegnamento (15 febbraio 1804). Il 27 settembre 1806 venne inviato alla Biblioteca universitaria di Bologna come probibliotecario. [ ] Raggiunta la nuova sede, iniziò a compilare l'inventario di cui l'istituto aveva bisogno, e il 5 gennaio 1807 ne assunse la direzione. Contemporaneamente fu designato alla cattedra di storia e diplomatica dell'Università, mantenendola dal 5 gennaio 1807 al 15 novembre 1808, data in cui l'insegnamento fu soppresso, per essere reistituito e affidato di nuovo a Pozzetti il 28 aprile 1814. Nel 1808 declinò l'offerta di dirigere il Collegio dei nobili di Modena e nel 1811 venne insignito del titolo di professore emerito, divenendo l'anno dopo storiografo ufficiale dell'Ateneo bolognese. ". L'opera ricostruisce la vita del celebre medico mantovano ma nato da una delle più importanti famiglie di Correggio, Marcello Donati (Mantova 1538 - Mantova 1602), nipote di Pietro Pomponazzi che personaggio di ampia cultura, si interessò di latino, greco, spagnolo, francese e anche filosofia, eloquenza, letteratura latina, greca e italiana anche se i suoi studi accademici si indirizzarono verso la medicina, appresa prima a Mantova sotto la direzione di Francesco Facini, medico del duca Guglielmo Gonzaga e poi, a Padova dove si laureò nel 1560. "Non ancora ventiquattrenne, fu ammesso all'Accademia degli Invaghiti, prima come "segreto", poi, a ventisei anni, venne designato quale vicerettore. Si poteva così fregiare del titolo di cavaliere in forza del privilegio concesso da papa Pio IV. Di quella Accademia fu in seguito rettore, dal 1576 al 1599, e in quella sede lesse lavori suoi di letteratura, poesie e dissertazioni su vari argomenti. La medicina rimaneva tuttavia il suo campo specifico di studio e di attività". Amico di Alfonso Pacio, conobbe anche Ulisse Aldrovandi. Donati fu autore di numerose testi medici, letterari e storici. Si interessò anche di botanica tanto da creare, nel giardino della propria casa un ampio parco botanico, ricco di esemplari provenienti dal nuovo mondo delle quali lo stesso studioso, testò le proprietà medicinali. Nel 1587 fu nominato dal duca Vincenzo Gonzaga conte e feudatario del Castello di Ponzano nel Monferrato con titolo trasmissibile ai discende denti. L'anno prima aveva pubblicato la sua opera più celebre che ebbe numerose riedizioni e diverse traduzioni, De medica historia mirabili " ampia raccolta di casi clinici e di osservazioni anatomiche personali, di autori antichi, arabi, medievali e contemporanei, tra le prime del genere, anticipatrice di quella tendenza alla compilazione di ampie casistiche clinichee anatornopatologiche che nel XVIII secolo avrà il suo massimo autore in Giovanni Battista Morgagni.
