Report is autographed (in plate) by Le Generalde Verenjoul, Commandent. This type of document, especially with maps, is extremely rare in the rare and collectible book market. The division was created under the name 2nd Armored Division on May 1, 1943 in North Africa. On July 9th of the same year she received her final name of 5th Armored Division, the number 2 being assigned to the 2nd Armored Division of General Leclerc. Integrated in the First French Army of General de Lattre, she landed in Provence in September 1944, fight in the Vosges (reduction of the pocket of Colmar) and finally participates in the campaign of Germany.
