In very good condition with 5 line Arabic inscription inner page, dated 1934, very slightly cocked with light rubbing to top and bottom of spine. inner hinges open. Inside is pristine and bright. Beautifully illustrated with tipped-in color plates by Zeev Raban. Illus. w/ 25 tipped-in color plates + tipped-in color title plate, each with a glassine guard printed with a decorative colophon, with facing-page text from Solomon within decorative borders. Text on plates in Hebrew, text opposite plates in German. Remarkable combination of lyrical text and sumptuous art with erotic overtones in this rare volume.
