Gifted to Mildred Zedith Doherty (whose signature is also on the front end page) by "Tommy", who knew Katherine Hepburn and inscribed (in pencil) the book to Doherty thus: "Zedith - I saw you in the film adaptation of this lovely book - its wonderful & so were you - Katie Hepbu…rn told me how she envied you the role. Love Tommy". The boards are shelf rubbed and edge worn, with the cloth slightly frayed along the edges of the spine and in the corners. Despite this, the boards are strong and sturdy. Internally, there is extensive ink and pencil annotation throughout, but the text remains complete and legible. The binding is secure. JK.
