First issue of rare 1950s humor magazine, reminiscent of vintage Mad Magazine. 64p., knee-slapping parodies of various literary styles, Fedora Dostoyevsky, Ernest Heminghay. Writers used pseudonyms, many involving last name Schmalhauser. One piece is called Gettysbug Alley, Scene of the Great Rumble of '58, attributed to Bruce Ratton, winner of the Bulitzer Prize for HIstory. "A strange silence hangs over Gettysbug Alley- and rightly so, for this is hallowed ground." Lots of send-ups of 1950s advertising, full page ad for BeautyPest Mattresses. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
