Faint foxing to the edges of the text block and rear end papers, previous owner's name on the front pastedown. Binding square and solid.

He comes in conflict with a wealthy ranchowner, falls in love with the rancher's granddaughter, and deals with other villains and allies. Bumped and rubbed, front hinge cracked but still pretty solid. Previous owner's name on the front pastedown, jacket blurb on the end paper, and a series of printed numbers in the back. Scuffs to the pastedowns where the jacket had been glued. Jacket rubbed with chips and tears, including a 3" chip from the back. Flaps have been trimmed way back so no printing is visible, in Brodart. Good reading copy.

Here he sends an American ingenu to La Mancha in Spain where his adversaries ''know to a nicety under which rib a knife is most efficacious'' (from the blurb).Neat fine in very good, nicked and slightly chipped dustwrapper with a 5 cm closed tear repaired on the reverse.
