MacIntyre was a white Georgi…an author who helped recruit 300 black mule-drivers to serve in France during WWI. He wrote Colored Troops with several vignettes from the perspective of his perception of African Americans and their manners of speech. Similar content in that era is rare to find and gives us a look at the dated view of African Americans decades before segregation ended. Minor wear to bottom of spine, and foxing to first few pages. The rest of the pages are clean with crisp text. Overall very good condition.
