Dust Jacket is Good with some chipping and soiling. History of the methods of transportation used as the West developed. Written by Louis Lamour's sister, a noted historian on the Old West. Includes a chapter on "Steamboating on the Missouri" and includes a photo of Fort Abraham Lincoln as it appeared when General Custer ran the post.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. An informal study of Dakota territorial days by Edna LaMoore Waldo. The author was born and raised in North Dakota. She wrote or edited seven books on North Dakota history and wrote for a newspaper in Bismarck in the 1930's. She also wrote a weekly column for the Milwaukee Journal. From 1935 to 1937, she hosted a radio talk show at KFYR in Bismarck. She and her husband moved to California in 1948 and in 1949 started to work at the Stanford Research Institute in Palo Alto, where she stayed until her retirement. Foxing along the text block. Pages have waving, but no signs of water damage or damp staining. No DJ. Yellow boards with dark brown striping. Some discoloration to boards. Has prior owners' inscription (sticker) on endpaper.
