"Its reception having been more favourable than the writer had ventured to hope, he has been induced to re-issue it, with the four additional chapters which compose the Appendix of the present Volume." James Conway was the pseudonym of James Conway Walter. .

Red pebbled cloth, spine & upper board titled in gilt, blind-stamped illustration of a stag's head bottom right corner of upper board, bevelled boards. Cloth faded, text quite browned as usual. Good-plus. Includes chapters on trout fishing in the North of England, the English Lakes and in the hill lochs of the far North of Scotland; salmon fishing in Teviot, Tweed, Dee and the far North. The chapter, Coarse Fish - Fresh Water And Salt is largely about pike fishing with several pages on Indian mahseer. After sections on deer-stalking and wildfowling there are two appendices on sport in Ceylon by relatives of the author; one on otter-hunting by "A.C.W.C.", and one on trout fishing by "G.G.R.C." James Conway WALTER wrote this book under the pseudonym "James Conway." .
