Zustand: Good. Hardcover with dust jacket showing wear to top edge, corners and head and tail of spine. Blue cloth covers with gold lettering to spine. Book in very good condition. Pages clean and bright. In this thorough and delightfully readable book, Shelby comes to life as a man caught in the events of his time. He came to the Kentucky area when it was only a winlderness and he stayed to lead it into statehood and out of the Indian struggle and through a war which threatened it.
