Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. "Hindu Manners, Customs and Ceremonies" by Abbe J. A. Dubois, and translated from the French by Henry K. Beauchamp, was first issued in 1906 in London. The paperback book here offered is the reprint of the Third Edition ; it was published in New Delhi by Asian educational Services. The book contains a Prefatory Note by F. Max Muller. Comprised of more than 700 pages, the book presents what is one of the most detailed accounts of all things Hindi. That being said, it must be pointed out that Jean-Antoine Dubois was a French Catholic missionary in India, and thus there is a decided bias contained with this vast reportage. Nevertheless , there are few books which can claim to be so widely inclusive on the subject. TITLE : Hindu Manners, Customs and Ceremonies AUTHOR : Abbe J. A.
