This appears to be later translator Marie Lorenz's working copy, with numerous annotations and additions in ink and pencil throughout (changes on nearly every page). In addition, laid in are13 original rough sketches for the illustrations by Mahlon Blaine which appeared in the 1941 New York edition published by Coventry House.
