The inner hinges have been reglu…ed neatly but, apart from some light foxing/browning mainly to the first few and the last few pages, internally the book is Good plus to VG with no marks. An old Mudies Library Label on the front pastedown. A Previous owners' name/date on the front free e/p and again to the top corner of the Title Page. (x) + (2) + 288 pp. Overall, apart from the 'doctored' boards which are now protected in a clear plastic book cover and look OK, this is actually internally a Clean, Tight and Sound copy of the First Edition. Scarce. Not a collector's copy however. " The author's first book. Written on Active Service but always a reassuring distance from the front line .
