Original quarter leather hard back binding in fair condition, some rubbing/staining and damage to top of spine with gilt title (see scan ). Contents fair & tight copy, did not see any inscriptions, small oval stamp inside cover for S. Poles, Wr…yde, Thorney, nr. Peterborough (not sure if an owner or book shop). some paper ageing, last page a bit dirty, no rear blank/endpage. rear page split from binding. No map, base of title page states when new in 1851 you could buy it with a fold-up map within the book for 17s. 6p. or with the map mounted on rollers for £1. Subscribers Copy.
