Vintage studio still photograph from the 1976 film. Provenance stamp on the verso. Loosely based on Woody Guthrie's 1946 autobiography. Unsurprisingly, director Hal Ashby's version of Guthrie is a complex one, showing the legendary proletarian singer and activist as a man with contradictory virtues and faults. The film follows Guthrie's initial migration west to escape the dust bowl, his discovery of the plight of migrant workers, his important encounter with singer Ozark Bole, and his subsequent (and problematic) reunion with his family. Nominated for six Academy Awards, winning two, including Best Cinematography. Set and shot on location in Tucson, Arizona and throughout California. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with a sticker affixed to the top right corner and sticker residue on the bottom right corner. Complete collation details available on request.…

Two vintage reference photographs from the 1978 film, one showing Jane Fonda and Jon Voight, the other showing Fonda and Bruce Dern. A key Vietnam-era film, and one of noted director Hal Ashby's finest efforts. Ostensibly a war film, "Coming Home" is really more about the lives of the women left behind during the war, tracking the progress of a housewife who finds herself unexpectedly liberated in her husband's absence, falling into an affair with a wounded veteran. Winner of three Academy Awards, including Best Screenplay, and nominated for five others, including Best Picture and Best Director. Nominated for the Palme d'Or. 8 x 10 inches. About Fine.…

In New York, they tangle with some Marines , and in Boston, Buddusky takes Meadows to a brothel for his first sexual experi ence. Vintage studio still photograph from the 1973 film. Based on the 1970 novel by Darryl Ponicsan. Two foul-mouthed sailors are assigned a shore patrol to escort a young seaman to a Navy prison in Maine to begin a heavy-handed eight year sentence. The pair decides to take their captive out for a few adventures before his prison term, including getting drunk, skating in Rockefeller Center, going to a brothel, and more. Screenwriter Robert Towne faced difficulty adapting Ponicsan's novel for the screen, largely due to Columbia Studios' concern over the novel's profanity. The film eventually gained the dubious distinction of the most uses (65) of the word "f*ck" in a motion picture at the time of its release. Set and shot on location in New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and Virginia in the US, and Ontario in Canada. 10 x 8 inches. Near Fine.…
