Superb color plates. Artists are categorized into the groups of Hudson River School (15), Barbizon and Tonalist Schools (14), Marine and Coastsal Painting (9), Genre Painting (8), and Still Life Painting (17). The interior is clean and without marks and presents as unread. The covers show light wear, e.g. there are several spots where the top blue layer of the cover are missing and showing white spots, the back covers are rubbed and again the blue color is fading, and there is also some edge wear to the covers.
