This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Substituted diethyl 4-(substituted-phenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5 dicarboxylate found to be effective as active biological compound.The physico-chemical properties of the transition metal complexes of these newly synthesized N-heterocyclics with certain metals are reported here. The proton-ligand and metal-ligand stability constants of complexes of diethyl 4-(substituted-phenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate with Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) were determined in mixed solvents (70% dioxane). Presence of OH/NH group(s) in these compounds confirmed at 0.1 M ionic strength in 70% dioxane-water mixture pH-metrically. Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) metal ions formed 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 complex with all the three ligands. The result shows that the ratio of logK1/logK2 is positive in all cases. This indicates that there is little or no steric hindrance to the addition of secondary molecules. 68 pp. Englisch.…

Moreover , the complex formation in the solution of some N-heterocyclic compounds studied with some metal ions by determination of stability constant using spectrophotometry. The spectrophotometric study of chelating properties of some newly substituted heterocycles viz 2-(4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-5-yl)phenol-N-methylaniline, 4-(1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol and Ethyl 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-6-methyl-2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylate with Ni (II) and Cu(II) metal ions by Job's variation method reported here.The study of thermo-acoustical parameters and study of stability constant of complexes by spectrophotometric study gives an important information regarding the presence of molecular interaction.It has an application in drug absorption and transmission. 72 pp. Englisch.…

In context with Green Chemistry, in this book, we have reported the synthesis of substituted derivatives of pyridine, pyrimidine and isoxazoline using eco-friendly approach which offers a reduction or even elimination of solvent use and recovery of solvent. To provide the eco-friendly approach to the synthesis procedures we used microwave irradiation (MWI) as a non-conventional energy source, using different catalysts such as CoCl2, K-10 Montmorillonite clay and Zeolite ZSM-5 as they provide enhanced reaction rates, improved product yields, reduced reaction time duration and thus facilitates the formation of products under milder reaction conditions with a consequent increase in yield. Synthesized compounds were characterized by means of FTIR, PMR, CMR, Mass spectral and UV analysis. The synthesized pyridine, pyrimidine and isoxazoline derivatives were screened for their antimicrobial activity using disc diffusion method against certain bacteria and fungi and found to have better antibacterial and antifungal activity. 272 pp. Englisch.…
