Il decrit de facon poignante la vie dure des coureurs sur les routes de l'epoque, des gravillons de silex en Bretagne a la boue des cols pyreneens et alpins. Il nous fait assister aussi a l'immense engouement populaire. Albert Londres, ne le 1er novembre 1884 a Vichy et mort le 16 mai 1932 dans l'ocean Indien, est un journaliste et ecrivain francais.
