Les illustrations de Baron, Janet-Lange, Gavarni, Français, Marckel, sont gravées sur acier par Brunelière, Nargeot, Langlois etc. Avec les deux portraits de Pauline et Foedora avant la lettre gravés par Félicie Fournier, d'après Janet-Lange et Marckel et qui manquent souvent (pages 149 et 287). Petites déchirures au papier en marge inférieure sur 6 pages sans atteinte au texte. Sans rousseurs. Page 9, 378, 379 très légère tache et rousseurr marginale. Plein maroquin havane décoré dans le goût de Lortic. Plats ornés d'un quintuple filet doré entrelacé formant un décor géométrique, dos lisse orné d'un quintuple filet doré en long, date en pied, double filet sur les coupes, très large décor floral intérieur, tranches dorées. Chiffre en pied du premier plat "JM", Jules Marsan, professeur et doyen de la Faculté des lettres de Toulouse et bibliophile. Très bon état malgré quelques taches au dos sans gravité. Vicaire.
