The first section is titled "Wind Tunnel Tests on an Airfoil Equipped with a Split Flap and a Slot". 6 pages. The next is titled "The Aerodynamic Characteristics of a model Wing Having a Split Flap Deflected Downward and Moved to the Rear". 7 pages. Section 3 is titled "Full-Scale Wind-Tunnel and Flight Tests of a Fairchild 22 Airplane Equipped with a Fowler Flap". 19 pages. Each section is followed by multiple figures and tables. The entire volume, with original covers, has a later library binding. Gutters at front and back reinforced with white cloth. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the front free endpaper. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Light rubbing to covers. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before the committee was abolished upon creation of NASA in 1958. A strip of white bookbinding tape on the inside hinges to reinforce the spine. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the inside free endpaper and a small amount of pencil writing on the original cover, which now serves as the title page. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Corners of the boards are bumped and the covers are rubbed, especially near the spine. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before they became NASA.
