(vgl GMS BA 119f) Nicht nur, aber vor allem auch in Kants eigener Moralphilosophie ist die Bestimmung der beiden Begriffe darüber hinausgehend von fundamentaler Bedeutung. Bloße und vollkommene Determiniertheit würde jedes moralische Handeln verunmöglichen einerseits, Kants Bestimmung des Sittengesetz als objektiv notwendig und universal erzwingt den Begriff der Gesetzmäßigkeit andererseits. Im ersten Teil definiere ich den Begriff der 'abgeschlossenen und offenen Immersion', diskutiere Beispiele, um anschließend auf den Begriff des 'separierten Morphismus' einzugehen, um mit einer Diskussion des Begriffs 'eigentlicher Morphismus' abzuschließen. Neben der durchgehenden Untersuchung, inwiefern die diskutierten Begriff stabil sind unter Basiswechsel und Komposition, zeige ich auf, dass der schematatheoretische Separiertheitsbegriff ähnliche Konsequenzen wie in der Topologie hat und erörtere das Verhältnis von Immersion und separierter/eigentlicher Morphismus. Des Weiteren untersuche ich das Verhältnis zwischen affinen und projektiven Morphismen und den hier behandelten Begriffen.

Dabei stellte bereits Hilbert beeindruckenderweise fest, dass diese Funktion von polynomiellem Typ ist, also dass für gross genuge Argumente, diese Hilbert-Funktion mit einem Polynom übereinstimmt.Die Hilbert-Funktion hat dabei eine Grosszahl an Anwendungen und Verstrickungen mit Fragestellungen der kommutativen Algebra und ich stellte bei der Bearbeitung des Themas schnell fest, dass eine Einschränkung notwendig sein würde und ich selbst in diesem eingeschränkten Teilbereich zu großen Teilen nur einen Geschmack der Möglichkeiten der Hilbert-Funktion vermitteln können würde. Anstatt etwa auf die kombinatorischen Anwendungen auf Simplizialkomplexen oder die leichte Berechnbarkeit durch Gröbner Basen einzugehen, die beide bestimmt auch wesentlich für ihre Attraktivität sind, entschied ich mich zur Beschäftigung mit geometrischen Fragen. Diese drehen sich hauptsächlich um Varietäten im projektiven Raum.

The inscription reads 'To O. Aldon James, Jr., from Michael Gleizer, 2/28/94, N.Y.'. Mr. James was the president (1985-2011) of the National Arts Club, a private club on Gramercy Park in Manhattan, New York City. Michael Gleizer is a Ukrainian-born Jewish artist, who immigrated to the United States in 1991. There are 50 full-page color reproductions of his works. You can see the book and dust jacket in the photographs provided. Both are in Near Fine to Fine condition. I don't see any issues with either that need to be called out. The covers of the book are very clean. The gilt lettering on the front and spine is very bright. There isn't any wear to be seen, not on the corners or edges or spine ends. The interior the book gets the same high praise. I don't see any soiling anywhere. No creases. No dogeared corners. Bright, glossy, pages. Beautiful paintings. No markings, no attachments. And with the exception of the artist's signed inscription and drawing, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The book is also very solidly bound, square and tight. The dust jacket is in excellent condition. It is NOT clipped. It doesn't have any tears. It doesn't have any soiling. It doesn't have any creases. It will be fitted with a protective cover.
