It analyses the effectiveness of the DAA and presents the results of a survey conducted among general practitioners in England, covering the patterns of geographical mobility among GPs, the relationship between choice of practice area and other connections with the locality. It also discusses the professional and personal differences between GPs in areas which are well served with GPs and those which are not. The book is the "result of clinical & pathological researches at Guy's Hospital, London, and at the Bellevue Hospital, New York"--title page. Beveled and scored red leather with blind stamped gilt titling on front and spine. Covers show very mild general wear, with light wear at top & tail of spine and very modest bumps to corners. Darkening/mild foxing at ends; mild damp staining to outside corners of free endpapers; otherwise interior is clean, crisp, & bright, unmarked. Binding is tight & strong. 68 pp. Approx. 5" x 7.5".
