Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This is a 'picture-board' hardcover, no dust jacket, with "First Edition" on its copyright page and SIX author signatures. When you buy this book, you will become the next link in an interesting chain. Its limitation page at front of the book has the signatures of editors Steven Utley…and Michael Bishop. At the bottom of the page is printed "THIS IS COPY" with a box for the copy number. But THIS book, instead of a number, has a "PS PUBLISHING COMPANY FILE COPY" stamp. Next there's a gold foil sticker on the book's front endpaper with the name "Paul Di Filippo" and his home address in Rhode Island. And then, there's Paul Di Filippo's signature on its Contents page, with his inscription, "To Charles, We're all passing for human!" In 2015 I bought the book in that condition at Powell's in Portland. While I've owned it, it has been signed at author signings three more times: Jeff VanderMeer signed his story's title page in May 2017 at Seattle's University Book Store. And finally, at the 2018 ArmadilloCon in Austin, authors Jessica Reisman and Texas legend Howard Waldrop signed the title pages of their stories. It's now your turn. This book is in near fine condition, marred only by bumps on its spine ends. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are bright, unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and otherwise unmarked. No dust jacket, as issued. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description. Signed by Author(s).
