In den Warenkorbhardcover, 5" x 7½", with dust jacket 172 pages "Of this book, Sir Walter Alcock MVO Mus Doc wrote: "The study of organ-playing must include a knowledge of the instrument as a necessary approach to the subject of 'Registration', which is the real object of this book. It is high time indeed that this important aspect of organ-playing received more widespread and sympathetic study." On the Contents page, 'Chapter IV: Registration of the Modern British Organ' has handwritten note alongside "Read, mark, learn & inwardly digest!' while in the chapter itself, a marginal mark appears beside "In big combinations the suboctave, on its own manual, should be shunned like a plague" [page 157]. One other marginal mark appears on Page 133 (a warning on octave and suboctave couplers)." Jacket worn at corners. Inscription on endpaper reads: "Geoff Woodfield Esq - in appreciation of much good work during 1951, (signed) R.A." VERY GOOD book in GOOD price-clipped dust jacket.
