Hanfstaengl" (= reich illustriertes Exlibris auf Innendeckel (gedruckt) mit handschriftlichem Nameneintrag sowie Name handschriftlich auf Vorsatzblatt). EGON LUDWIG SEDGWICK HANFSTAENGL (1921-2007), später Kunstverleger in München, begann mit 18 Jahren sein Studium in Harvard. Als prominenter Sohn des frühen NSDAP-Anhängers und Hitler-Vertrauten Ernst Hanfstaengl, dazu gar als Patenkind Adolf Hitlers, wurde seine Immatrikulation öffentlich von der 'New York Times' registriert. 1941 trat Egon Hanfstaengl, der durch Geburt in New York auch die amerikanische Staatsbürgerschaft besaß, freiwillig der US-Army bei (vgl. dazu u.a. auch eine Tagebuchnotiz Joseph Goebbels) und soll sich 1943 sogar für ein Attentatversuch auf Hitler auf dem Berghof angeboten haben (Infos lt. wikipedia, 14.02.2017). - Der in Harvard lehrende Experimentalpsychologe Edwin G. Boring (1886-1968) war einer der führenden Fachvertreter seiner Zeit, H. S. Langfeld lehrte in Princeton, H. P. Weld an der Cornell University. - Zum Teil mit Anstreichungen. Einbandecken leicht beschabt. Insg. aber ordentliches Exemplar und Zeitdokument zum deutsch-amerikanischen Wissenschafts- und Kulturaustausch.
