After the death of her father when she was 39 (her mother had died years earlier), she began a series of journeys around the world for the purpose of painting flora and fauna. In 1879 her offer to fund the construction of a gallery to house her collection was accepted enthusiastically by the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. North died in 1890. 0030574536 Very good in dj.
