Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, spine slightly faded, three or four 1/16th inch nicks at head and foot. Internally, religious picture glued on to paste-down front endpaper, church's rubber stamp on front and rear endpapers, rear hinge cracked, paper lightly age yellowed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, probably never really read. Topics include conditions in Ireland, various Roman Catholic doctrines, such as the Immaculate Conception, etc, plus texts of letters to Napoleon III, Duke of Wellington, etc. Religion; history; biography.
