Publisher's pictorial, stapled wraps issued without spine; interior printed on different paper stocks, as issued. Front wrap with some scuffing and edge wear. Front wrap has minor creasing and some bumping / curling at all four corners. Missing back wrap: remnants at staple ends. Moderate wear at all four corners of text block. No rips of tears of front wrap or interior. Interior age toned, but clean. Front cover features photograph of John Sinclair, soon-to-be manager of the MC5. Includes full-page photograph and interview with Robert Creeley, conducted by Sinclair. Includes "Preface" from Henry Miller's 1946 work, the Power Within Us, originally published in the first English and French editions of book. This is the first US publication of aforementioned preface, with Miller's express consent. A variety of other contributors. Photographs available upon request. Size: 4to - 9¾" - 12" Tall.

Includes separate loose single sheet broadside poem by Basil Bunting. The two contributors to this issue are Charles Olson and Carl O. Sauer. Fine condition. Comes in original mailing envelope that was sent to poet Lawrence ferlinghetti. Envelope in only fair condition with handwriting as well as considerable wear. Contents are fine, however. Editorial staff includes Allen Van Newkirk who was the editor of the Detroit radical newspaper Guerilla.

This issue was essentially co-edited by Sinclair and Raworth as it was incomplete as Sinclair began his sentence for marijuana possession. Includes a series of letters from Sinclair and a note from Magdalene Sinclair on John's incarceration. Sinclair is a Detroit poet who was the leader of the White Panther Party, an activist, underground newspaper editor and the manager of the MC5 rock group. The rear cover is an American Flag of red and white stripes and skull & crossbones/$ signs on a blue field by Jerry Younkins.
