Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. This G+ book is square, with no corner bumps or edge dings, and only lightly bumped head and heel of the spine, without fabric damage. However, the exterior has areas of fabric deterioration--the top 1/2" and bottom 1" of the front panel and the top and bottom 1/2" of the spine and the rear panel have such deterioration. It is not water damage (there are no stains from water) but in these areas, the underlying cloth fibers are exposed (see photos). The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage; paper is mildly toned and just a tad bit stiff but still flexible; hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The G+ jacket is uniformly darkened and has numerous edge chips, primarily on the front panel (see photo); there are no hidden tears--all the damage is quite visible.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. This reasonably clean G+ book is square with no edge dings, lightly bumped lower front corner with no fabric damage, and lightly bumped head and heel of the spine, also without fabric damage. There is a 1-1/2" long strip on the fore edge of the front board that has been nibbled on by some creature (see photo). Except for an inked 1921 inscription on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage; paper is mildly toned and just a tad bit stiff but still very flexible; hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The G+ jacket has small chips at the front corners and at the head and heel of the spine and a 5" closed tear at the lower corner of the front panel, a tear that meanders into the front flap; spine is faded but the printing is still very legible; both front and rear panels have staining from water damage--the book does not have any evidence of such damage, however.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. This VG- book is square with no edge dings, lightly bumped front corners with no fabric damage, bumped head and heel of the spine with no fabric damage. Bottom edges show very modest wear. The front gutter has one tiny hole from what seems simply fabric deterioration; the rear gutter has about a dozen of these spots. Rear board has some stain smeared on it (see photo). Except for a penciled inscription on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage; paper is mildly toned and just a tad bit stiff but still very flexible; hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The G jacket has fairly small chips at the front corners and smaller ones at the head of the spine; wear along the front fold; but the bottom 2" of the spine is missing; also there is "75" written on the spine.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. This VG- book is square with no edge dings, lightly bumped front corners with no fabric damage, bumped head and heel of the spine with no damage at the heel but fraying at the head. Bottom edges show very little wear. There is a 2-1/2" crease in the rear board (see photo), a crease that can be seen in the rear paste down. Spine is moderately soiled. Except for a inked name/date on the front paste down and a missing RFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and page damage; a few pages have minor stains that do not affect the text. Paper is mildly toned and still very flexible; the rear hinge is strong but the front one has some play in it, but it is holding. The G jacket has mild uniform soiling, small chips and related folds at the front corners, tiny chips and several 1" tears at the head and heel of the spine, a 1-1/2" x 1" chunk out of the top rear panel, and a water stain at the bottom of the rear fold--the rear board and the last pages have no evidence of water damage.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. This VG book is quite attractive. It is very clean and square with no corner bumps or edge dings; head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped without fabric damage. There are four small areas where the tan paint has eroded somewhat (if it was ever applied properly): at the top and bottom of the front panel, at the bottom of the spine, and at the rear bottom corner (see photos); the largest of these, at the top of the front panel, is 1" x 1/2"; they do not weaken the book at all, they are merely a visual flaw. Except for a inked inscription on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage; paper is mildly toned and just a tad bit stiff but still very flexible; hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The G+ jacket has tiny chips at the front corners and similar sized ones at the head of the spine; slight wear along the front fold; a 1-1/4" x 1" chip at the bottom rear corner; and the bottom 1" of the spine is missing.
