Shaken, inner hinges broken, boards loose. Text is clean, fresh and tight.

Dark green binding,on front gilt illustration of Livingstone,& Stanley carrying something through an area of large plants, this illustration is surrounded by their gilted names and black stamped floral illustrations and boundaries, spine has gilt lettering and another illustration of 5 people but the gilt is weaker there, a 2 page black & white fronticepiece contains portraits of them, contents include and introduction which has a history of northern Afica going back to the 15th century and 39 chapters, which were written by the author primarily based on all of the writings of Dr. Livingstone, 32 black&white full-sized illustrations and 10 smaller ones, 761 pages.
