Offsetting to the endpapers, a little spotting to the fore edge and a pencil ownership inscription to the first free endpaper; text darkened but otherwise clean. The first (longer) part headed: 'Address by His Excellency the Viceroy and Governor General of India'. Willingdon praises his men for the 'discipline, courage and devotion to duty you have shown during the past few weeks since that night when with appalling suddenness this city of Quetta and the surrounding areas were overwhelmed by an earthquake shock which caused a loss of life and destruction of property, probably without parallel in the history of our country'.
