Buch Erstausgabe Signiert
Hardcover. Zustand: Very good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. First edition. An association copy, signed by co-editor Shirley Sargent on an affixed label with the printed inscription: "May 1, 1985, For Ann, who listened, encouraged, proof read, and numbered!" This is number 33 (numbered by Ann!) of 750 copies. We have seen one other signed copy and it was also signed via a label. The recipient was likelyAnn Matteson who is thanked in the acknowledgments; she was a devoted outdoorswoman and denizen of many National Parks, finally Yosemite (one notes her son was named Muir). Sargent was a prolific historian of Yosemite. Her bestselling book wasJohn Muir in Yosemite National Park (1972). A very good plus book with some subtle waviness to the upper corner of the text block and light soiling/staining to upper text block face, otherwise fine in green cloth with gold lettering; in a good only jacket that is heavily dampstained and wrinkled (accounting for that slight waviness). A nice association in spite of these these imperfections.
