Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Quite rare - Author John Sterry (1766-1823) was Providence-born and a Baptist clergyman. He was the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Norwich, Connecticut; while there, he devoted most of his leisure time to work of a literary nature, including editing a newspaper. Contemporary calf, red morocco title panel on spine faded. Binding extremities a bit worn, boards moderately scuffed. General browning and foxing. But overall tight and clean. Largest blemish is hole to multiple pages - doesn't hinder readability though. Volume 1 but as best as we can tell, this was the only volume published.
