Engraved frontispiece and dozens of architectural plates throughout. XXXIII + 408 pages + index. Well over 100 full page engravings, many of which are folding plates. Text block is cracked in a couple places, but cords are strong and tight. Text in French. Measures 8.5 x 11 inches. Pages and plates have acquired a bit of wrinkle from age. Page edges dyed red. Two volumes in original mottled calf: the end of the rear board of volume 1 has been expertly recovered with dyed calf to match corners, polished to blend in. Some reveal to hinge volume 1 and wear to the raised bands, gilt compartments on both volumes, cords partially revealed and holding. Internals unfoxed, clean crisp plates and text. In volume 1 there is a shaved edge to rear leaves resulting in shallow loss to last bundle of chairs at midsection outer margins not affecting text block or plate. A very nice unspohisticated copy. Volume 1: frontispiece + title + 4 + 3 + 13 + 6 + 8 + 40 + 4 w/ double plate + xii w/ 3 plates + 355 w/ 103 plates some double page or foldout . Volume 2: frontispeice + title + (357 - 920)p.

Register (Die letzten beiden Blätter Register in einfacher KOPIE ergänzt) mit insgesamt 151 Tafeln (das sind die Tabellen 1-139, die Nummer 57 doppelt vergeben also 140 sowie Figuren 1-11, die fehlende doppelblattgroße Figur 12 in einfacher KOPIE ergänzt), davon sind 56 Tafeln einfach bzw. mehrfach gefaltet. Der Einband ist leicht aufgebogen, etwas berieben, an den Rändern und Ecken zum Teil durchgerieben. Das vordere Außengelenk ist am unteren Kapital ca. 2 cm gebrochen. Auf den Vorsätzen und der Rückseite der Tafel der Seite 180 befinden sich kleine Zeichnungen mit Tinte bzw. mit Bleistift des Vorbesitzers. Die Tafeln der Seiten 85 und 208 weisen einen Riss von ca. 10 cm auf. Das Frontispiz sowie die Tafel mit der Figur 11 lose. Die mehrfach gefalteten Tafeln weisen zum Teil leichte Randläsionen auf, etwas stärker sind diese bei den Tafeln der Seiten 156 und 196 sowie auf den Seiten 197-202. Die einzelnene Seiten sind schwankend minimal bis leicht braunfleckig.
