FIRST EDITION, paperclip mark at head of Contents page, crease at bottom corner of prelims, one pencil annotation, pp. 186, [5], foolscap 8vo, original wrappers, slightly rubbed, a couple of creased to bottom corner of front cover, good. A countercultural tract from early in Koontz's long career, later disowned; it takes a sensationalist line on the threat of the Nixon Administration to civil liberties - declaring America to be on the road to becoming a 'fascist nation'. The contemporary 'Science Fiction Review' (October 1970) describes the book as having been withdrawn after only a handful of copies had been sold - having been 'distributed to the porno stores'.

192 pp. 'Phil Rexon like nothing better than having sex with beautiful girls. He wished he could remain potent, nonstop, forever. Lucinda Fuego was able to grant his wish. Soon, his dream seemed like a curse, as luscious females took him on a tour of a special kind of sex-hell.' Originally published by Cameo in 1970 as Always Hard, by Gracie Amber. An unusal copy of a rare book: this has clearly survived a fire, with spine partially blackened, and top and fore-edge browned with smoke. A few licks of it have penetrated the inside covers; text block is clean, and does not smell of smoke. Rare. BB503. Paperback. Lightly scorched; smoke-darkening to edges and spine; small diamond punch-hole to cover. Covers grubby with smoke which has not affected the laminate. Internals very good.

Soft cover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Softcover. Black and green printed covers with white lettering. This copy is a few degrees shelf-cocked, with some scuffs and bumps, but overall still tightly bound and solid. No date on the title page. Copyright page dated only 1970. 192 pages. Woodstock, pot, body painting, groupies. Koontz has written more than 100 books under his various pen-names over the last 50 years. This was among the first and, curiously, is not listed on the bibliography on his own website. He was on his 20s when he wrote this one - and was just breaking into the industry writing paperback originals. Please email with questions or to request photos. If you see a photo beside this listing, please be aware that it s an ABE Stock Photo (whatever that is) and not a photo of this book.

Buch Erstausgabe
Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. DEAN KOONTZ & GERDA KOONTZ - BOUNCE GIRL, published by Cameo, copyright 1970, First Printing. This book is one of a number of 30 or so books that Dean Koontz wrote for Cameo books early in his career under various pennames (like Gracie Amber or Leonard Chris), but this is the only one he actually published under his own name. Dean Koontz has since disavowed and otherwise denied having ever written such books (besides this book which was published under his own name and the Leonard Chris book "Hung"), but the evidence is undisputable. Book has faint spine creasing, but no spine lean, ever so tiny cover creases, no soiling or staining to covers, no former owner markings or used bookstore markings inside, no missing pages, no creased pages from prior reading, pages are flat and tight and appear unread. Overall a VG+/FINE- book of this rare 1980s Dean Koontz printing pen name book. I have a number of other U.S. and U.K. Dean Koontz 1st printing hardcover/paperback/magazine appearances up for sale.

Buch Erstausgabe
Mass Market Paperback. Zustand: VG/NF. First Edition. Book appears near sharp and virtually unread with a hint of shelfwear at edges and extremities, and three faint lines at top edge of text block, looks like some sort of distributor's marking. Some tanning to pages due to age and cheap paper stock. An amazingly well preserved copy of this important early book by noted horror author Dean R. Koontz, co-authored by his wife. The TRUE 1st edition! Book may require extra postage and attention ala signature confirmation depending where it is to be dispatched to. Extremely rare title and state! Cameo Library # 9CA-8059.
