Encuadernación de tapa blanda. Zustand: Muy bien. In-8. #1 Nov/Dic 1955. (All published). Wrappers in slipcase. Collaborators : Jorge Bacqué, Dina Holmberg, Néstor Bondoní, Raúl Alvarez Forn, Eduardo Dessein, Among others. Rare magazine, in a letter sent by Eduardo Dessein to Provenzano, he says: For your book on magazines, I confirm the simultaneous origin of the two Fictions. In October 1955, Luis Aznar introduced him to Goyanarte at Editorial Nova. We talk about the possibilities of a magazine. My idea was to present new people, based on stories and tales, that is, new or little-known Argentine authors. To make it salable, publish short stories by well-known foreign authors. Don't publish poetry. Regarding the latter, Goyanarte has been faithful to that idea, although he publishes comments on books of verses, a minor infidelity. At that time, Goyanarte was not entirely convinced, but when I had already taken out the first issue of my magazine, someone called me on the phone to let me know that he was desperate to have coincided; even in the name. It was really coincidence, since when I spoke with Goyanarte I did not mention the word Fiction , which I think Edgar Bayley came up with in a friendly conversation. The fact is that Goyanarte spoke with me and I decided to give him the name and eliminate my precarious competition.". Federico Vogelius copy with his seal. Provenzano p290. Los principales blancos de sus críticas son las instituciones artísticas, la SADE, los suplementos culturales, la revista SUR.

The first issue of Correspondence opens with the poem by César Fernández Moreno, Argentino hasta la muerte which, in some way, sets the tone of the magazine, whose pages are numbered continuously: the colloquial and unprejudiced tone, the humor, the uses of the everyday and the testimonial, the manners, the criticism. This tone, also present in their covers, is displayed mainly in the section "La Licuadora", made up of literary, musical, theatrical and cinematographic commentaries. Its main darts are destined for artistic institutions, the Argentine Society of Writers, the cultural supplements of the great newspapers, the Sur magazine. Jorge Rivera says the caustic humor, the brulote and the irreverence ( ) points to a kind of notorious and healthy intellectual ethicism, which if in its most opportunistic facets reflects the mere belligerence and the movement of accommodation of the new promotions, in their more permanent facets reissues both the lesson of humor and lucidity of writers such as Oliverio Girondo and Macedonio Fernández, as well as the long-standing tradition of the most casual and provocative Creole journalism, so vitally related, on the other hand, with the forms of observation and definition of popular humor " Tarcus p42. Provenzano p262. F4.".
