Tiny indent on top edge of back board. Otherwise book is in very good condition. Jacket has two chips at head of spine. Gap on spine, over author's name. Closed tear on front edge of spine. Mild wear along bottom edge of front panel and tail of spine. Otherwise jacket is in very good condition and in a mylar wrapper.

[Offprint] from The Geographical Journal for May 1944. pp. 193-203; diags. to text; fine in original wrappers with, loosely inserted MS "Notes of paper by Dr. Olaf Devik . . . RGS 15.5.44" made by Noel Odell, the last man to see Mallory and Irvine on Everest. This is a self-standing offprint, not an extract from the May issue. Odell's MS comprises a page of written notes, and four pages of sketches.
