He proposes that the young man become a teacher at his school, where he can teach acting to the students. This will give him the opportunity to practice his craft while also earning a steady income. The young man is intrigued by this proposal, and after some discussion, he agrees to give it a try. The play ends with the young man leaving to start his new job, while his father looks on with a mixture of hope and trepidation.
