hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Missing. 4th Edition. The fourth and final edition of Security Analysis written and supervised directly by Benjamin Graham and David L. Dodd ? making it the last authentic expression of their methodology before later editions were updated and annotated by modern scholars such as Seth Klarman and James Grant. First published in 1934 as a response to the 1929 crash, the work evolved significantly across its four editions: where early printings focused on navigating Depression-era bankruptcy restructurings, this 1962 edition incorporates mid-20th-century market realities ? the rise of post-war corporate leverage, evolving SEC regulations, and the dramatically changed market conditions of 1960?61. Co-authored with Sidney Cottle (Stanford Research Institute) and Charles Tatham (Bache & Co.), it addresses Graham's updated criteria for bond selection, preferred stock analysis, and common stock valuation in a more mature and regulated market environment. The intellectual foundation for Warren Buffett's investment philosophy and the bible of fundamental value investing. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Interior clean and tight throughout.

Benjamin Graham (born Benjamin Grossbaum, May 8, 1894 - September 21, 1976) was an influential economist and professional investor. Graham is considered the first proponent of Value Investing, an investment approach he began teaching at Columbia Business School in 1928 and subsequently refined with David Dodd through various editions of their famous book Security Analysis. Well known disciples of Graham include Jean-Marie Eveillard, Warren Buffett, William J. Ruane, Irving Kahn and Walter J. Schloss. Buffett, who credits Graham as grounding him with a sound intellectual investment framework, described him as the second most influential person in his life after his own father. In fact, Graham had such an overwhelming influence on his students that two of them, Buffett and Kahn, named their sons, Howard Graham Buffett and Thomas Graham Kahn, after him.
